Faced the fear, the pain and torment
Rather than their Lord deny
Lived out their faith, led others to the truth
“The Son of God for us did die.”

Praise we now our patron, Catherine
As a champion of God’s Word.
Taught Christ's love, won people over,
Broke the wheel, died by the sword
When for her faith a martyr she became
Bearing witness to her Lord.

Grant us, Lord, the strength and courage
Like the saints steadfast to be.
Living life as Christ has taught us,
So that all we meet may see
Our Saviour’s love in everything we do,
And open up their hearts to Thee.
