In the past, I have been very willing to record most hymns and songs requested, on the condition they are in the hymnbook their church uses on a regular basis. In other words, to record what churches are singing. However, my situation has changed somewhat (in part due to age - now in high 70's), and I can no longer offer to do requests. And age has affected my playing ability, and this restricts what styles I can offer, and therefore I cannot always meet the expectations of users. So many of our churches are having problems in 'the music corner'. And my heart bleeds for them, because I can understand the difficultly a church faces in these circumstances. Unfortunately, as much as I would like to help, I am restricted. In fact I no longer actually play for recordings anymore, and since midi 2016, new recordings are computer generated BIAB (Band in a box) style. Sorry that I cannot handle requests anymore, but we all get older, and for me, it also means that I am not as able to do all that I once did. |
